“After nineteen unforgettable years in the Movistar structure, it’s time to say goodbye,” Erviti begins the message. “Life, just like races, consists of phases. They say that when one phase ends, new opportunities arise. Now it’s time to take a breath, think for a while, and then move on.”

Erviti turned professional in 2005 with Illes Balears – Caisse d’Epargne, the predecessor of the current Movistar team. He remained loyal to Eusebio Unzué’s team throughout his career. During this career, he was primarily important as a helper but also claimed three victories. He won two stages in the Vuelta a España (2008 and 2010) and in 2011, he won the Vuelta Ciclista a La Rioja.
